Kids Activities - Floating and Sinking
Children learn best by doing things themselves and they will really understand these concepts if they are allowed to try them out with real objects.
What You Need:
- A variety of household objects that float and sink - plastic, paper, toys, corks, feathers, pegs, foam, ping pong balls, golf balls, wood, containers with holes, etc
- A large washing up dish of water in the garden
What To Do:
This is a great activity outside on a warm, sunny day. The children will love seeing which items float and which sink and sorting them into the two categories...
